I have begun to see dance as rhythms and series of notes that music no longer needs to play. Dance can release something that music is, something that music is a little – but most of all, what music could be.

While experiencing this weilian sympathy for dance, I composed Afterglow, low lingering slips of light with various lacks in mind. Things that are present, but only through their absence. Sometimes, one notices a lack only after. At other times, something was almost a moment. Sometimes, something boring in the present can turn out to be interesting later.
